If you want to know more or would like to be involved then please contact us by email, facebook or twitter using the links at the foot of this page.

There are normally a huge variety of events celebrating the arts in Stevenage surrounding and during the festival that aren't part of the main programme.

With COVID having reduced the number of possible performances at the Gordon Craig Theatre, the festival also included some smaller events in and around Stevenage which are detailed below.

Tales from Hertfordshire

Tales from Hertfordshire: An adult storytelling event. Hertfordshire storyteller Vickie Holden-Swinton presented stories from our county, from the delightfully dastardly, to the downright daft!

Those of you who have discovered the local studies collections at any of our libraries, explored Hertfordshire Names Online or even visited Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies (HALS) at County Hall in Hertford, will know that our county is full of fascinating history and brimming with brilliant anecdotes!

Herts Libraries are delighted to be hosting local storyteller Vickie Holden Swinton who presented Tales from Hertfordshire: A storytelling event for adults. Join us for an entertaining evening jam packed full of anecdotes and adventures inspired by our historic county. We celebrated the diversity of reading and everyone was welcome to enjoy brilliant stories without opening a book!

A trained actor, Vickie has been performing and storytelling since 2000 in street theatre, festivals, events, panto (Oh no she hasn’t!) and films. Vickie has a wealth of experience combining storytelling and acting and is co-director of Pakiki Theatre CIC.
